Recently a few studies have been published that have conflicting results. Some say that consuming excess calcium in supplement form increases a woman’s risk of developing heart disease. Other studies suggest that this is not the case. A study that in currently under way at the MUHC is hoping to clarify this. If you are a healthy post menopausal woman over the age of 50, and a non-smoker you may be eligible to participate in the study. Please contact Angel Ong at 514-934-1934 ext. 45742.
